Thump Industries started the way most good things do — out of frustration with the alternative. We got tired of seeing sloppy work and decided to do it right.

Why we exist.
Thump Industries was founded in the Midwest by a gunsmith who spent years watching builds come back wrong — wrong specs, wrong finishes, wrong fit. The answer wasn't to complain about it. The answer was to build a shop where that doesn't happen.
Every build that leaves our shop has been test-fired, inspected, and signed off. We don't cut corners on parts, we don't rush timelines to clear the queue, and we don't hand you something we wouldn't stake our name on.
We're not the biggest shop in the Midwest. We're fine with that. We'd rather do fewer builds right than more builds fast.
Honest timelines
We tell you how long it actually takes. If something changes, we call you.
Quality parts only
We won't put garbage components on your build. If we wouldn't use it ourselves, it doesn't go on your gun.
Your build, your call
We'll give you our opinion when you ask for it. But it's your firearm and your money — the final call is always yours.

FFL Licensed
Federal Firearms License holder. All transfers, sales, and builds handled in full compliance with federal and state law.
SOT / Class III Dealer
Special Occupational Taxpayer status allows us to handle NFA items — suppressors, SBRs, SBSs — in-house without the wait for a personal Form 4.
Cerakote Certified
Certified Cerakote applicator. We follow the full prep and application process — no shortcuts, no brush-on finishes.
Midwest Based
We're local. You can walk in, talk to the person doing the work, and see the shop. No shipping your firearm across the country.
